Many images incorporate period-inspired visual treatments — including borders, insignia, and surface textures — as part of their final composition. These elements are intentionally integrated to create cohesive, authored works, not raw outputs.

Personal vs. Commercial License
The Personal License is for private collectors, readers, and fans. Display your images, use them as desktop wallpapers or reference art, print them for personal use. Commercial redistribution and derivative works are not permitted.
The Commercial License permits derivative works — meaning you may incorporate the images into products you sell or distribute: tabletop RPG supplements, game modules, interactive fiction, campaign settings, homebrew content, digital or print publications. Attribution to L. M. Hawkes and HawkesAdventures.com is required.
If you are a creator building something for others, you want the Commercial License.
Resolution & Format
Every pack includes a 1024 JPG at no additional charge — sufficient for digital display, game interfaces, and most document layouts.
For print-quality work, high-resolution PNGs are available as add-ons: 2048 PNG for digital publishing and screen-optimized print, 6144 PNG for large-format and professional print production, and 8192 PNG for the highest-fidelity archival and commercial applications.
You may select different sizes for different images within the same pack — choose only what your project requires.
Why These Images Cost What They Cost
The illustrations in this catalog were not generated cheaply or assembled from generic assets. Each one was purpose-built for a historically grounded world — composed, lit, and refined to meet the same visual standard as the gamebook volumes themselves.
You are not licensing a mood board. You are acquiring a coherent visual identity rooted in a specific place, period, and atmosphere — a world you could walk through. That coherence is the value.
Larger packs carry a lower per-image base cost. Resolution add-ons are charged only for the sizes you actually choose.
